Island Potters

Entering the potters collective is always a feast for the eyes, these potters have honed their craft to perfection. Whether you are looking for an artistic pottery piece to display or a useful piece for cooking, serving or eating from you, will find it here on the beautifully displayed shelves. There are always several fabulous paintings on display as well, there was one last year that I really loved and I returned several times to have another look but then it was gone. Not meant for us…. I know better, when you see something you love you should just buy it! Thats not always practical advice I know, but whenever it make your heart sing you will regret it if you don’t!

The shop was not open yet for the year when I took this photo but it is on weekends now and will be everyday starting at the end of June, when the summer season really begins on any of the Gulf Islands.

32 Books - Book Store

32 Books - Book Store

Aaahhh, the bookstore. I almost never leave this tiny little bookstore without a purchase, it is so well stocked with up to the minute titles of such variety and interest that I just can’t help myself!  Believe me, I do not need another book – but then really, who does?! They also carry a good selection of cards and a handful of CD’s.

Funky clothes and jewelry store

Celestial Sphere

The Celestial Sphere is a funky clothing and jewelry store for the younger ones amoung us; they carry an abundance of original tops & shorts, cute little dresses, scarves, headbands and all kinds of necklaces, earrings and bracelets.

We were at the Ringside Market on the Victoria Day long weekend – all of the stores and eateries seemed to be busy with holidayers and locals alike! It is such a comfortable relaxed setting, in part due to the driftwood, logs, weathered shakes & cedar siding – add in interesting people and the rest of day gently falls into place!
