Nile Landing has changed quite a bit this spring – it is so nice to see the new houses that are being built and hearing about the ones that are in the planning stages!
Let me take you on a tour down the street…..
To give you an idea of the locations of the houses, the lot closest to our entry sign is Lot 1 – the newest house that is complete is on Lot 3 – it is a nice looking spec house with a dreamy kitchen that is for sale at the amazing price of $399,000. The back garden is ready for a new owner to fill with plants and enjoy the sound of the creek in the distance, a sound that beckons on a hot summer day – drawing you to find the swimming hole! This home is listed with Lois Grant at ReMax Realty.
Lot 4 is fully treed for only a short while, the owners of this property have submitted their plans to the Regional District of Nanaimo for approval – they will start building their home as soon as the permit is ready.
Lot 5’s new home is reaching the completion stage – the owners of this home are so excited to be going through this process, a first for them. I have heard from the builder that the decision making has been going along very well and has kept the project on schedule, so a move in will take place in the very near future.
Moving along down the street, the owners of the home on Lot 13 decided that they would like to build again in Nile Landing – so they listed their home for sale and two weeks later it was SOLD! It is such a great looking house, it’s no wonder it went so quickly!
They have chosen to build on Lot 16 – another gorgeous lot that backs onto Nile Creek and the woodland park that surrounds it. They have the foundation in and the framing is just ready to be started.
Another Nile Landing homeowner who is one of Oceanside’s local builders is in the process of choosing another lot and possibly two, where he will begin to build.
So there you have it – the Nile Landing News as it stands today. We are pleased to see so much more progress, Nile Landing had a slow start with it’s completion being just moments before the recession of late 2008. Confidence in our country’s stability has us all feeling more willing to go on with the changes we’d like to make in our lives – thank goodness to have the worst of that unsettling time behind us all!
If you have an interest in purchasing one of the remaining Nile Landing properties you can either contact our realtors – Rob Ohs and Andrew McLane of Ohs McLane at Royal Lepage or ourselves at (250)752-3601 or (250)951-1950. We would be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
