There are three little places to get a great cup of coffee, unfortunately I only took photos of two but I will take one during the summer of the other one because it is a really unique set up. Jan’s Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch from May 1st through to around Thanksgiving, the food is healthy, home made and served with pride & a big smile!
Lix / Hornby Island Roasting Company sell their own coffee which is very rich & flavourful (you can also buy it by the bag in the CoOp and at the Farmers Market). A single Americano is my personal favourite! They also have a selection of ice cream flavours and some delicious waffle cones.

The bike shop is an essential business on Hornby, the island is very well known in mountain biking circles to be a great location to ride. There are so many fantastic trails all over the island and there is a small mountain that is criss crossed with very rideable trails both for the beginner and more advanced riders. Not only do they carry bike parts & accessories and do repair work, they also have a bike rental service. They rent kayaks as well for those wanting to take in the interesting coast line that surrounds the island.
