The flooring sounds intresting. I’ve never heard of it so will have to check it out. Love all the colours especially the fireplace surround. It would be interesting to see how thew new owners furnish the house. Another job well done, Rick and Linda. Congrats. jj

You are so right about the succulents just growing where they want to – I love that look so much. I think that some containment will be good too though!
You have such an incredible selection of succulents and other interesting flora in your garden! If you are two weeks later returning this year you may find that the growth is similar to other years – it is such a cold and late spring. The blossoms are lasting longer once they do get out though ~ trying to find the positive in it!
Looking forward to our first spring lunch with you and the girls!

I remember your little patches of succulents on Hornby, and yes these wreaths are lovely, but I loved seeing your Hornby succulents growing just wherever they felt like growing.

Reading your blog this morning makes me anxious to get home to all my succulents that grow in the different containers throughout my yard in Qualicum Beach. I’m sure I’ll notice a big difference in the growth on my plants this year because we are heading home two weeks later than ususal.

Spring has sprung down here, too. There was a parade in La Peñita to celebrate the first day of spring. Carla was here so got to take it in. Also there are trees in bloom with colourful flowers along all the highways and roads down here. Carla and I also thoroughly enjoyed our first day of spring down here. jj

Linda, I’m with you. We were blown away with the Monterey Aquarium when we visited it a couple of years ago. They have done a spectacular job of bringing a whole lot of sea life to us that we’d otherwise never be able to see and enjoy.
